Gemotions

The house seemed to shrink around Kevin, the walls closing in on him. The realtor’s disclosures, the chilling history of his new home, had left him feeling utterly depleted. He had always taken pride in his energy and drive, but now he felt as though his strength had abandoned him.

He wandered from room to room, touching the surfaces, as if trying to understand the shadows that clung to them. He felt a deep, pervasive fatigue, a bone-deep exhaustion that seemed to seep into every pore.

He tried to distract himself, to find some solace in the familiar routines of his life, but his heart felt hollow. He sat in his chair, lost in a sea of unspoken emotions. He closed his eyes, wishing for the dawn to arrive and that all of this was not true.
